baby beckham...

This little guy is just 10 days old here and what a sweet baby. He looked so comfy and cozy in the basket that even I didn't want to disturb him! That should be his new bed :) I love getting the opportunity to work with first time parents and to see all of the love shared with these little blessings. Everyone says it but it truly does go by in the blink of an eye...so cherish every moment. Thank you Jenn and Matt for letting me in to your home to capture your little miracle!

a visit from a fairy princess...

I was lucky enough to be visited by the sweet fairy princess Brooklyn last week. Now don't let all of the pink feathers and bows fool you with this one. She has two older brothers so needless to say Ms. Brooklyn is fearless. She spent the majority of the time jumping off the couch and rolling on the floor. I kept thinking she was going to get hurt but nope - nothing was stopping her. She is hilarious! Such a cute personality - to match her cuteness on the outside.

I had the privilege of meeting this sweet baby girl last week. Emmy was a perfect angel the whole time and I couldn't get enough of all of her cute hats and bows! For only being a week old, this girl is set! We also got Grandma in on a few shots. There is something so special about that mother-daughter bond and I was honored to get to capture this one. I love in this shot how Emmy has a little smile on her face - like she knows something that we don't. She's saying... "thanks for fighting grandma...keep it up!" So nice to meet all three of you.

Sweet baby Jack is 6 months old and just a little peanut! This boy is going to be a model one day - the whole time he'd look right at the camera and give me huge smiles - I loved it! And his eyes amaze me every time I see him - they are a gorgeous crystal blue. We thought he'd have a ball playing with and throwing the tissue paper around...but instead he chose to eat it :) It was fun as usual Katie and Cory! Tell your mom I'll be bringing my clients there regularly :)

I sometimes can't believe how lucky I am to have such an amazing job! Every time I get to meet these tiny little newborn miracles I feel so blessed to be asked to capture some of their first moments. Baby Cavan is an angel - such a sweet little guy! Do you ever wonder why babies tend to sleep all of the time until you actually want them to sleep? Mr. Cavan was not big on napping during the 2 plus hours I was there last week. He was afraid he'd miss out on all of the action. I mean, I know I'm fun and all but come on. We tried every trick in the book! Luckily he was sleeping in the beginning so we got some sleepy shots. I love all of these photos and hope mom and dad do too! So nice to meet you Amanda and Casey! Who says you can't take pictures in the rain? Well it was more like sprinkles but we got a little wet nonetheless. Big brother, Ben is 2 1/2 and did a great job at getting his baby sister to laugh. Who would have thought the ABC's could bring out such a smile? Lauren who is 6 months is such a doll! I can't get enough of those chubby cheeks and crystal blue eyes! It was so nice meeting you Amy! Thanks for bringing the kids to Des Moines - hope they liked their "special" lunch (McDonalds). Oh how I love the bribes :) Enjoy your sneak peek...
